We spent our Independence day in the company of great friends. Eric, Ashlee and baby June invited us to their gorgeous house for grilling and good times. After some turkey burgers and potato salad we went for a dip in the pool, baby toys and all. Nico swam with Hal, Sunny and Deetric. He was in awe of Eric who was cannonballing from the diving board. Nico loves jumping in from the edge of the pool. He even tries to outrun me so that I can't catch him, as if he knew how to swim! That daredevil in him is not from my dna.
It's so nice to know we have so many friends taking the same parenting journey we are... there is comfort in the collective rookiness of it all. Hope everyone had a great 4th!
