Once the elevator doors opened on the 13th floor of the Mart in downtown, Anne and I were pretty giddy. We were so nervous we would miss a booth, that we devised a nerdy walking plan to make sure we didn't. Anne is such a good friend that we picked up right where we left off. We had deep life conversation amongst the oohing and aahing. We gossiped and gave advice while we shopped for nick nacks. Pure Heaven. (Thanks to Aaron for babysitting Nico)
There were lots of owls and ironic mustaches to be had at the fair. Amazing baby clothes and inexpensive and original art. There was a girl with a microphone inside a "postcard booth" who with her best robot voice sold $2 postcards and made us laugh really hard.

It was a really inspiring event. I loved seeing a generation of people happy to "make it themselves." I took lots of notes and I am hoping to channel my inner Martha and get crafting this year. Anne, bring your gluegun and pom poms.
